We specialise in custom steel projects. From custom signs for the home or business, decorative screens, steel sculptures for large civil projects, farms or homeowners looking for one-of-a-kind steel art.
We also stock and sell countless grades of steel and consumables as well as a broad range of products manufactured exclusively by us on-site in our Wauchope facility.

Bennetts Steel started off as ‘Bennetts Steel & Timber’ in Wauchope in 1991, primarily selling timber and some steel. Timber was becoming less used during the early to mid 1990’s due to environmental issues and less milling, so Gordon Bennett decided to step away from timber and only stock steel, becoming Bennetts Steel. In the late 1990’s Bennetts Steel relocated to the current site at Industry Street in Wauchope.
Modernising the look of Bennetts in 2019, they rebranded and took the marketing of the business to the next level incorporating their introduction to tv advertising, intensifying their radio presence and tying everything together with print media.
Over the years, Bennett Steel have had the privilege of being involved and offering donations and sponsorships to many local charity and not-for-profit organisations, such as the Hastings Education Fund, local football clubs, pony club, show societies, camping events and various local charities.
Bennetts Steel is one of the largest privately owned steel retailers on the North Coast of NSW. Our focus is on providing outstanding service, the best products and a full range of services. We have a footprint of over three acres, filled to the brim with steel that’s in stock and ready to go.
From new steel to downgrade and factory seconds steel, we stock a large assortment of products and provide a massive range of services under our roof. We can cut, fold, bend, roll, fabricate and machine your next project.
